Valle Redondo, Oil on laminated canvas, 9” tall, 11/08/12

Valle Redondo is an enormous meadow in northwestern New Mexico. Liz and I spent a night there backpacking in and listening to coyotes and Molly responding to coyotes all night long. This picture is full of fictional and real elements, but it is a breathtakingly beautiful place.
